Audio drama (or radio drama, audio play, radio play, radio theater, or audio theater) is a dramatized, purely acoustic performance. With no visual component, radio drama depends on dialogue, music and sound effects to help the listener imagine the characters and story: “It is auditory in the physical dimension but equally powerful as a visual force in the psychological dimension.”
\nThanks to advances in digital recording and Internet distribution, radio drama was experiencing a revival in 2010.<\/p>\n

Not to be mistaken with an audiobook, with an audiobook all lines from the book a read out and spoken lines are done with different voice actors. With an audio drama you get a full experience with soundeffects and added atmosphere.<\/p>\n
