\nOn Februari 13, 2019<\/span>, it was announced that\u00a0Netflix, Sugar23 won the rights to Faun.
\nThree studios were trying to pick up the screen rights to his upcoming short story \u2018Faun\u2019 and Netflix was able to pull in front and secure them.<\/p>\n

The movie pitch of the story is as follows:<\/p>\n

Narnia. Hogwarts. Neverland. All magical places that mortals can travel to and marvel at the strange creatures and wonders not seen in our world.
\n<\/strong><\/em>What if a door to a magical land was discovered and instead of pure-hearted adventures, a man saw an opportunity to charge a fortune for an exclusive private game reserve where you can \u201cbag\u201d a magical creature.
\n<\/strong><\/em>Multi-millionaire Tip Fallows is a recreational hunter looking for more interesting challenges. Another wealthy hunter, Stockton, has a secret to share and a journey to offer. All they need to do is pay a quarter of a million dollars to go through a little door in an old house in rural Maine.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

On the production side of the project, we\u2019ll see Michael Sugar tackling that through his Sugar23 banner alongside Ashley Zalta. While no director is currently attached to Faun, we know that Jeremy Slater will be tackling the script. Slater has had an ongoing working relationship with Netflix in recent years having penned both \u2018Death Note\u2019 and \u2018The Umbrella Academy.\u2019<\/p>\n
